Freestyle music icon, Jocelyn Enriquez releases an international single, To Love Again, kicking off a promotional tour in Manila, Philippines. In a new partnership with Audioneer and Warner Music Philippines, the release and tour also mark Jocelyn’s return to the music industry after 15 years.
Born in San Francisco, California, Jocelyn Enriquez has been widely regarded as a music pioneer, becoming the first Filipina American artist to find success in the mainstream music industry. Emerging from the Freestyle movement of the time, Enriquez was the first artist to sign with Classified Records and was quickly deemed by some as the “Queen of Freestyle”.
Her 1994 debut album “Lovely" features the dance hits “I’ve Been Thinking About You” and “Make It Last Forever”. Enriquez’s smash hit single “Do You Miss Me?” was released in 1996, peaking at #17 on the Rhythmic Top 40, #14 on the Top 40 Mainstream chart, #8 on the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart, and #49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Along with “Do You Miss Me?”, the album would feature the radio and sales hit “A Little Bit Of Ecstasy” which reached #1 on the Billboard’s Dance sales chart for 6 weeks straight and would solidify her position in the Dance genre. The song was the lead single on her second album “Jocelyn”, released the following year by Tommy Boy Records. In 1998, she collaborated with label mate Amber and Strictly Rhythm artist, Ultra Natè, remaking the Gordon Lightfoot classic “If You Could Read My Mind” for the major motion picture “54”, which is celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018. Her third album “All My Life” was released in 2003 by her own record label JEM Entertainment and includes the hit singles “No Way No How” and “Why”.
Today, Jocelyn resides in San Antonio, Texas, with husband, Pastor Alain Macasadia, where they serve alongside their four children in full-time ministry. Music remains a key part of her path and she eagerly anticipates her return to the music industry.
Jocelyn travels to Manila, Philippines this September to promote the international launch of To Love Again, an accompanying music video premiere, along with scheduled radio and TV appearances.
